Paramount and Activision have confirmed the upcoming Call of Duty movie will be set in the Modern Warfare universe. Director and co-writer Peter Berg shared the news at a Call of Duty in Culture panel during Fanatics Fest in New York City. Modern Warfare first launched in 2007, introducing fan-favorite characters like Soap, Ghost, and Captain Price, along with series villain Vladimir Makarov.
